Let's make a nice cactus with fabric (ENG/ESP)

Today I had plans to post during the day, but my plan was not possible, because we have power cuts, and the worst thing is that they are cuts without warning, they just cut it by surprise, so you never know what time you will be without electricity, it's a shame, but you have to be patient and wait calmly to not feel so bad, I am one that has cost me adapt to being without light this was depressing for me now is a matter of being patient.

Luckily today in the afternoon, when the light came back, I was full of courage and started to make a very nice craft to share with you, it is a cactus plant, I wanted to make it for some time, because this plant seems so cute and exotic that I want to have it in various presentations, today I had the inspiration to make it with fabrics, and very nice felt to decorate, I hope you like it.

Hoy tenía planes de publicar en horas del día, pero mi plan no fue posible, porque tenemos cortes de luz, y lo peor es que son cortes sin aviso, solo la cortan de sorpresa, así que uno nunca sabe a qué hora se quedara sin el suministro eléctrico, es una lástima, pero hay que ser paciente y esperar con toda la calma para no sentirnos tan mal, soy una que me ha costado adaptarme a estar sin luz esto para mí era deprimente ahora es cuestión de ser paciente.

Por suerte hoy en la tarde, cuando volvió la luz, me llene de ánimos y comencé a hacer una manualidad muy bonita para compartirles, se trata de una planta de cactus, la quería hacer desde ya hace un tiempo, porque esta planta me parece tan linda y exótica que quiero poder tenerla en varias presentaciones, hoy tuve la inspiración para hacerla con telas, y fieltro muy bonito para decorar espero que les guste.

I started by drawing and cutting 6 U-shaped figures, then I cut and sewed them all around the edge leaving the straight part seamless for when I have to place the filling, I also marked with the pencil, a vertical line in the center of what will be the separations of the stems of the cactus, on the front and back side.

Comencé dibujando y cortando 6 figuras con forma de U, luego las corte y cosí por toda la orilla dejando la parte recta sin costura para cuando tenga que colocar el relleno, también marque con el lápiz, una línea vertical en el centro de lo que serán las separaciones de los tallos del cactus, por el lado de frente y atrás.

Place a few pins to hold firmly the pieces that I sewed together along the center line, pass the center seam coinciding the front line with the back line, thus leaving the shape of the plant ready to be filled.

Coloque unos alfileres para mantener firme las piezas que cosí juntas por la línea central, pase costura central coincidiendo la línea de frente con la de atrás, así quedo la forma de la planta lista para rellenar.

I filled and began to draw some flowers on the felt to decorate the plant, cut out the flowers and glued them with a few drops of hot silicone.

Rellene y comencé a dibujar sobre el fieltro unas flores para decorar la planta, recorte las flores y pegue con unas gotas de silicona caliente.

This is the result of the cactus plant, ready to be placed in its pot.

Este es el resultado de la planta de cactus, ya lista para colocarla en su maceta.

To make the pot use corrugated cardboard, mark with a pencil and cut 6 equal parts and form a square, place a few drops of hot silicone on it and glue the plant.

Para hacer la maceta utilice cartón corrugado, marque con el lápiz y corte 6 partes iguales y forme un cuadrado, sobre este coloque unas gotas de silicona caliente, y pegue la planta.

To give more beauty to this plant, I took some green fabric thread and glued it all around the base of the plant.
I loved how this type of thread lawn looks, finally this is where I finished this easy and beautiful decorative craft, this plant is a succulent variety plant, very appreciated by lovers of exotic plants, in all its presentations.
