Good morning friends of the community !!

Today I will tell you about my experience making my first bread in the shape of an animal, this time I will make an alligator.

Breads in animal shapes are very popular in my country Venezuela, these are basically breads filled with fruit jam or any other sweet such as chocolate, Arequipe, candied fruits, among others. I have eaten them since I was little and they seemed extraordinary and very delicious to me.
I remember when I was just a little girl and I dressed in the afternoons to go with my grandfather to the bakery on my street to buy that bread in the shape of an alligator, It was my favorite, I saw it imposing and very beautiful, we always bought to share it in the afternoon with a delicious coffee with milk.

Today many moons passed, and a few days ago I stopped at the bakery where I used to go with my grandfather as a child and those beautiful memories came to mind and I decided to make my own bread in the shape of a crocodile

I got to work and this was the result

If I did, I assure you that you will too, for this reason in my post today I am going to elaborate step by step how to make this figure :

The ingredients are as follows:

• 1 kilo of baker's wheat flour.

• 1 and 1/2 cup of liquid milk.

• 1 egg.

• 1/2 cup butter.

• 2 teaspoons of yeast.

• 1/4 cup of sugar.

• 1 teaspoon of salt.

The preparation is as follows:

First prepare a basic bread, placing the wheat flour, milk, yeast, egg, butter, sugar and salt in a container, integrating the materials to form a compact dough that is left stand for an hour

After that time, knead to shape the alligator, take a large piece of dough and roll it out by hand, you can also use a rolling pin to give it a long, flattened, oval shape. You should fill with the candy of your choice, in my case I used pineapple jam. Then it is closed and that part is placed down to give the shape of the animal.

It begins to form a thinner mouth and a slightly wider head, then an elongated body and finally a pointed and lopsided tail.

Then I took a knife and opened a slot in the mouth to see it open, and stick a small aluminum ball into the slot to hold the structure.

Then I made two holes for the eyes, where I put two balls to make them look more real.

Once the crocodile is formed, with the help of scissors, make V-shaped cuts so that the skin is so characteristic of this animal and add all four legs.

I had already formed my beautiful crocodile-shaped bread, I put it on an engraved tray and sprinkled it with flour so that it does not lose its shape.

Finally, take it to the oven for about 45 minutes to 1 hour, voila! I already have my beautiful bread.

With this experience, in addition to remembering my beautiful childhood, learning how to make these beautiful bread figures, I am sure to repeat with other animals, in future publications I will show you.

Hope you like my article. Thank you for reading.
