Como tuve que entrar al pueblo y al pasar por la plaza, el sonido de una bandola guaribera, que se escapaba de una casa cercana, me hizo sentir muy bien y a mis hijas tambi茅n. Inmediatamente, me dirig铆 hacia el sonido, siguiendo una melod铆a que me transportaba a mi infancia. Al llegar a la casa, encontr茅 a un grupo de personas reunidos alrededor de una mesa, all铆 estaba mi amigo Julito por dios, todos ellos estaban compartiendo m煤sica y an茅cdotas. En el centro donde estaban todas esas personas, estaba un se帽or mas o menos de unos 70 a帽os haciendo cantar a esa bandola guaribera, no s茅 c贸mo explicarlo porque definitivamente eso se tiene que vivir para poder sentir en el pecho como suena ese instrumento, pero el sonido de esa bandola era y es 煤nico.
La bandola guaribera es mucho m谩s que un instrumento musical; es un s铆mbolo de identidad, de tradici贸n y de resistencia. A pesar de que el cuatro siempre ha sido el n煤mero uno y ocupa un gran lugar en la m煤sica y el folklore venezolana porque tiene gran popularidad, la bandola guaribera tambi茅n forma parte de ese inmenso coraz贸n de la m煤sica llanera. Su sonido 煤nico y caracter铆stico la convierte en un instrumento irremplazable, capaz de emocionar a cualquier oyente.
Y pasar un rato agradable escuch谩ndola sonar antes de llegar a mi destino en Paso Real de Macaira, no tiene precio y las ni帽as y mi esposa o mejor dicho todos los disfrutamos como nunca.
