So that we could all celebrate together, my husband and I set off for my parents’ house on a rainy journey. You see, the weather has been changing for several days now, and the days are becoming increasingly wintry. We arrived at my parents’ house the day before the celebration. They welcomed us with great joy; we greeted one another and shared lots of hugs.
Para poder celebrar todos juntos, mi esposo y yo nos dirigimos a casa de mis padres en una travesía lluviosa. Although my mum’s birthday was the following day, I couldn’t wait to give her her present: a beautiful pink and black dress which she wore for the first time on her birthday. So we spent the time together as a family until the next day. As soon as we got up very early, we all wished my mum a happy birthday. She was very happy and touched to see the whole family gathered together to celebrate.
Aunque el cumpleaños de mi mamá era al día siguiente, no pude aguantar para darle su regalo: un hermoso vestido rosado y negro que se estrenó el día de su cumpleaños. We cooked a special meal for the occasion, which turned out absolutely delicious. We sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to my mum and had panetela with ice cream. We were all so happy! We celebrated the blessing of another year and the joy of sharing in my mum’s new year of life.
