So, last Saturday we had our hangout as usual, and it was just so much fun that we did not want it to end. We are currently on the second topic for this week, which is “A LITTLE CHARITY”.
But before we proceed with the details of the topic, let us take a look at the winners of the last topic, which was “ONLINE FRIENDS”.
This topic was geared toward each member of the community, telling us their experiences with making friends online and how it contrasts with having physical friends. With the rising number of online friendships, it’s easy to see why many people reduce the number of physical friends that they have. But then, is this better?
We got to hear the different opinions of people on this. And many told us about how they wouldn’t replace one for the other. Every type of friendship has its time and season, and most of the time, we only get what we’re really looking for. We get to decide what our friendship dynamics are. It was an enlightening topic, indeed.
For this topic, we went through every entry post, and that is every post with the #hl-exclusive & #hl-w191e1; tag. And with the number of wonderful posts out there, it was quite difficult to make a selection. But eventually, we did just that. WHAT IS A COMPANION? by 
This author told us that there is power in virtual friendships, but it just doesn’t feel like the same thing as physical friendships. Shared time, shared space, and shared memories will always make a big difference. The physical connection is what helps keep the relationship meaningful. He reminded us that while we can have as many friends as possible online, it’s the people in our locality who will always make us feel connected.
ONLINE FRIENDS FOR YEARS… by 
For this author, she told us about the friend she met online and how they’ve been able to remain in touch with each other for over ten years. She shared with us how the friendship progressed and how it got to the point it’s at today. The fact that they met online didn’t diminish the bond they share when compared to the friends she’s got in real life.
DOES DISTANCE DEFINE FRIENDSHIP? by 
For this author, she talked about the importance of having friends and how she has made so many of them online. According to her, distance shouldn’t be a factor when it comes to friendships, as long as equal value is placed on the relationship and everyone knows what they’re getting into, then it’s all good and fine.
