Hello everyone.
✍️ Today I will take everyone to visit another beautiful thai temple in northern Thailand. This temple is a temple of northern art mixed with central art of Thailand or lanna art mixed with central art. Many friends may not know, let me tell you again. The northern territory of Thailand in the past was called Lanna. Therefore, the traditions or arts of northern Thailand in the past will be referred to as lanna traditions and lanna art.
This temple is called Wat Chedi Ngam (วัดเจดีย์งาม). I wrote stories and photographed this temple a long time ago. But in this post, I will write more stories and photos from multiple perspectives. This merit making trip is the same trip as Wat Sa Nikhom and Mae Ai Luang Temple. If you like the art and beauty of Thai temples, please see my past post. ✍️ Because Wat Chedi Ngam is beautiful and mesmerizing. So my wife and I visited this temple again. This is the second visit and making merit. But this time we have more free time than last time. So I was able to take more pictures of this temple than last time. And I was fortunate to have the opportunity to take pictures inside the chapel and the principle Buddha image of the temple.
The interesting constructions inside the temple are the two chapels in the northern style blending with the central part of Thailand. and the pagoda. The many statues inside the temple and the wall and door art are also interesting and beautiful.
✍️ Another interesting highlight that I think everyone must like is The principal Buddha image in the big chapel of this temple. Let's see the beauty of the principle Buddha image in a temple. 👇
✍️ Brief history of Wat Chedi Ngam (วัดเจดีย์งาม). Wat Chedi Ngam is assumed to have been built in A.D. 1478, 544 years old. And this temple in the past was called Wat Hua Kad (วัดหัวกาด). Later in the year A.D. 1932 This temple was renovated. After being abandoned for hundreds of years. And later renamed this temple to Wat Nong Phai (วัดหนองไผ่). Before changing its name to Wat Chedi Ngam until now.
