Running errands and dining out in a nearby district with my wife.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. My wife and I live a simple daily life. Every Monday through Friday, we begin our day by driving our granddaughter and our autistic son to school. Then we spend most of our remaining time traveling, which means our car works quite hard. Because of this, ensuring our vehicle stays in top condition is always a priority for us. When car parts wear out or fluids are due, we change them right away based on the schedule. This time, we need to replace the timing belt. It is a part that requires replacement every 100,000 kilometers. Our car has currently clocked around 90,000 kilometers, but we prefer to change it before reaching the 100,000 kilometer mark. We didn't get our timing belt changed at the dealership, but we went to a local garage in a nearby district. Besides replacing the timing belt, we also changed other car parts.

The mechanic needs until noon to replace the timing belt. Therefore, we intend to have lunch in this district before returning to our district. We don’t know any restaurants in this district at all. At first, we thought about driving around the rural roads to look for a place to eat, because I want to have a meal at a simple, local restaurant. But after cruising down the main highway for a while, we came across a humble restaurant right by the road. It is a mini restaurant with Thai food cooked to order.

These are our lunch : crispy pork belly with holy basil and a fried egg over rice, plus stir-fried flat noodles with pork and a fried egg.

We have an hour left before going back to our district to collect our son, who has autism, from school. So I want ice cream after eating savory food. We were driving around looking for a cafe in this district, but this time we were specifically looking for one located on the rural road. And we came across a small cafe. It is a local cafe in a rural village.

It’s such a shame it took us so long to find this cafe that I missed taking photos of the vibe. But anyway, here is our delicious ice cream.

Then, we headed back to our district to pick up our autistic son from school and return home. These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post.
