I'm on my 8th day of the 30-Day Blogging Challenge initiated by @tegoshei. The topic is about the top three places I would desire to explore. It's a nice and easy topic since I know already Japan aced the list, then followed by South Korea.
I've always wanted to go to Japan and dreamt of working there. It's my dream country highly influenced by the anime I watch since I was a little kid. Believe me, when I say little, I was four years old. I could remember singing the OST while in class. My kindergarten teacher and I had fun memories together. Hah! When I started working three years ago, I placed South Korea next to Japan. It had always been a place to visit but never on the top places to visit first.
However, I am very optimistic I will be able to visit these two countries, not this year or next, but soon. So, I decided to share with you my top three dream destination that I feel like it's hard to achieve. But what can I say, everyone should dream big. It is free plus it keeps me motivated that I should work harder so I can travel to these three wonderful places.
My Dream Destinations
The Dancing Aurora Borealis in Iceland
At first, I thought these "dancing lights" were just a photo manipulation. I didn't bother researching it. I had known it exists when my sister @goinmary asked me regarding the Aurora Borealis and Aurora Australis. I think it was in the year 2017 if I am unmistaken. From then on, it was registered on the top places I want to visit, someday.
I am planning to see both the northern and southern lights. Because of the travel vlogs and some movies I've watched, I became more determined to go to Iceland for the Aurora Borealis. I had no specific place, honestly. I want to see it while camping and then, another ethereal experience on a lake or a lagoon. How surreal it would be to see both the dancing lights and its reflection on the waters!
The Lows and Highs of Mont-Saint-Michel
I learned about the Mont-Saint-Michel because of the Korean drama I watched—The Package. It was filmed in France for its major parts. Watching this Korean drama felt like I was with them, traveling. When the Mont-Saint-Michel was their destination, I was flabbergasted. The location, picturesque view in different seasons, and its rich history were stunning. Also, the Mont-Saint-Michel is considered as the holy island. I must say it was the most breathtaking place the drama had gone to.
The bay of Mont-Saint-Michel is influenced by the weather and the tides. Checking the tidal calendar is a must on this trip since the tide goes high and can vastly go low for miles. It changes swiftly. When high tide, the Mont-Saint-Michel becomes an island. The tide can go up to 50 feet high causing the surrounding land to be submerged in water. How fascinating it would be to timelapse such event and its sunset as well!
Apart from wanting to learn the history and culture and seeing the lows and highs, I also love to experience and witness its beauty and glory in different seasons.
A Safari Getaway in Africa
There are several National Parks in Africa. I couldn't decide which park I would go to. Not until I saw two of my favorite celebrity couples in the Philippines who had their honeymoon in Africa. It was so extraordinary. The couples went to Mana Pools National Park, Hwange National Park, Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and Maasai Mara.
I also followed Dean Schneider on Instagram. His Hakuna Mapaka Oasis was added on my dream Safari Tour. I would love meeting Dexter, Nala, and the rest of the pride and animals.
Witnessing and understanding the prey and predators and other wildlife is a treat for my adventurous self. I could also live a life serenaded by the sound of nature and animals.
If I'm blessed enough to travel all these three, I want to enjoy a 2-week long vacation on my first and second choice. And then, a 3-week to 4-week long get-away on my third so I could enjoy more the Safari.
