I wonder sometimes about the depths of your mind. About how complicated and deep everything actually goes.
Maybe then I could understand your decisions.
I wish you’d stop making me the bad guy, even though you know I can take it.
I wish you would change. I wish you would stop lying. I wish you would just open your eyes.
I just want you to be honest about your reason for staying. About your reasons for not being where you claim you should be.
Is it actually love? Or are you just envious?
Do you actually want me? Or do you just want me to be as miserable as you are with her?
You say you’re swimming… but are you?
Even though a Leopard can’t change its spots, they are strong swimmers.
You take your insecurities and project them.
I take mine and wear them.
We are not the same.
I think you love me because I’m everything you want to be. Everything you already are but refuse to realize because until now that’s all you’ve ever had to go on.
So you stay where it’s comfortable. Stay where mediocrity and half assed is acceptable.
You’re scared that I would force you to change. Force you to grow. Force you to do things you thought you never could.
I am the ocean. Fierce, Strong, Relentless. Always moving, refusing to quit…. And always a little salty.
She’s the swamp. Stagnant. Dank. Infested with things that will make you sick, make you weak… kill you.
You may be swimming, but not in the right body of water.
You’re taking the easy way out. There’s no progress to be made in that.
You’re fighting a war with yourself.
I’ve come to realize that I can’t change you, I can’t save you, I don’t even know if I can help you anymore.
Sometimes love just isn’t enough.
You can keep making excuses or you can start making changes.
Either way, the ball is in your court.
You don’t get to drag me down with you. Im better than that.
