Some songs are just songs.
And then there are songs that feel like they were written straight from your heart.
"All Of Me" by John Legend is that song for me.
I first fell in love with it because it’s not just a love song. It’s a surrender song.
The line that gets me every single time:
“Cause all of me loves all of you
You’re my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I’m winning”
That part wrecks me.
“All of me loves all of you” — not just the good parts. The messy parts too. The late nights, the flaws, the quiet moments. Real love isn’t 50%. It’s 100%.
“You’re my end and my beginning” — It reminds me of the person who’s been my home. The one I run to, the one I start and end my day thinking about.
And “Even when I lose I’m winning” — That line carried me through a season where I felt like I was losing at everything. But because I had love, because I had them, I knew I was still winning.
It taught me that love isn’t about being perfect. It’s about choosing all of someone, even the broken pieces. And letting them choose all of you too.
That’s why I want to share my cover in
