A lot has happened in the past couple months.
I’ve come to realize so many things and learn some good life lessons.
Most importantly, when people show you who they are, believe them.
Don’t ignore people’s red flags because you’re hopeful, or optimistic.
Second, realize that when someone tries to hurt you or cause you pain, it’s because they themselves have pain inside. Don’t be spiteful, wish them healing, they need it.
Third, if you’re happy then JUST BE HAPPY. Fuck everybody else.
Not everyone or everything in your life will come to stay.
Honestly, most will be there just to teach you a lesson.
Sometimes it takes a few times before you learn it, but when you do it’ll be worth it.
I’ve come to see people’s true colors.
And yet, I’m not mad, not hurt…
I’m honestly glad.
Some times people are so unhappy with themselves and their circumstances, they’ll try to knock down people better than them.
Jealous. Envious. Yet unwilling to change what is so wrong with them. Afraid to become better.
So they settle for less than, for mediocrity.
I know who I am.
I’m strong, I’m beautiful, I’m independent, I’m confident.
I’m a lot of good things.
I’d envy me too.
I’ve come to realize that I’ve lowered myself to the likes of people who weren’t on my level.
Who never could be.
People who are so miserable and hurt.
People who hate parts of themselves.
People who never deserved me, and probably never will.
It’s amazing how people react when you draw lines and create boundaries.
When you no longer allow yourself to be someone’s doormat, and instead shut the door in their face.
Take away someone’s control. Take away someone’s power.
Take away they ONLY thing they can’t lose because they have nothing else….
And see their true colors.
The best part about it all is that the TRUTH always comes out in the wash.
Fortune favors the good.
God doesn’t like ugly.
Karma really is a bitch.
I feel sorry for those people that I’ve shut out, sorry that they lost a friend, a fan, someone who truly believed in them and had their back.
Sorry for their failed attempts to knock me down to their level.
But, if I’m being honest, I’m more sorry that they hurt so badly and feel so negatively about themselves that they had to do what they did.
I have no hard feelings.
I don’t feel that I’ve lost anything.
If anything, I’ve gained.
Gained insight.
Gained knowledge.
Gained experience.
But I definitely did not lose… not like they did.
Misery loves company.
For once, I’m happy where I’m at.
I have a good job. A great family. A roof over my head. And a great man by my side.
I’ve “lost” things but I’ve GAINED so much more.
I wish those who are no longer with me the best of luck.
I wish you happiness.
I wish you growth.
I wish you HEALING.
I still want to see you all eat, but you’ll no longer have a place at my table.
I’m exited for what the future has in store for me, especially now that the weight of so much negative energy has been shed.
Time to move on. Time to be happy.
Time to start living!
