Today, I cooked a dish called Filipino Afritada, turned out tastes like Menudo. Yes, you read it right!
This might be the simplest recipe of Filipino Afritada, but for sure it is tasty, taste like Filipino traditional food. Food may not be luxurious and expensive as long as it is tasty and mouth watering, solve! That’s the Filipino style. Simple but yummy!
These are the ingredients:
2 pieces of chicken breast cut into serving pieces
1 medium onion, minced
2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 Knorr chicken cube
2 ripe tomatoes (if tomato paste is not available)
2 small potato cut in cube
1 large carrot cut in cube
1 teaspoon of sugar
3 tablespoons cooking oil
2 pinch of salt
1 piece red bell pepper
1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
*(Chicken broth is optional, add boiled water)
Procedure
The side dish I cooked is sautéed Sardines.
