Once I believed in a world, I believed in love, I believed in bond, I believed in relationships I even believed in trust. The world in my head was beautiful, vast, and lovely. I was a queen, I was never alone and I was valued. Love never failed, dreams came true and sadness was a myth. The world seemed good, until life happened to me.
“You cannot conquer what you are not ready to challenge” I’m suddenly afraid to face my fears, afraid to let go. Today, I can’t recognize love that I’ve yearned for. Pain has suddenly blinded me from seeing the real me, or what I am, or what I carry. In search of healing, I’ve become another person. I don’t know myself anymore.
I’ve been cheated, played, tagged a victim. Hurt for being myself, judged for being human. Betrayal is a song on replay.
Life offered all, and the only thing I hold on to, hope.
I hope I find the world I once created in my head.
