The card for today is guidance, more of an inner guidance rather than solely depending on outside ques for direction and decision-making. This inner-guidance I could also call 'self-trust'. This 'inner guidance' or self-trust is something that I am working on, where I am training myself to see beyond my reactions to situations, and instead focus on the simplicity of common sense and figuring out which thoughts/words/deeds would honour and benefit myself, my body and those in my life and world.
There was an instance recently in my life where I was experiencing a point of contention with another individual. I had reacted to this point in the past, wherein I brought it to a point of argument, blame, resent and defensiveness. I saw that how I was handling the situation and the resolution I was repeatedly bringing through was not best for me nor the other person, and was on the road to becoming a destructive force in my life and in my relationships.
When the point came up again, I decided to do something different. I wrote it out for myself and I walked a process of self-forgiveness where I took responsibility for my side of things. When I saw there were no more points for me to walk, I found a place of stability where I was able to communicate and work through my usual reactions within that communication, because I now understood them. This opened me up to both speaking clearly and without the energetic charge of blame, judgment, resent and defensiveness, as well as being able to HEAR the other, the words they were speaking, and thus SEE who they were within the point. This led to a mutual understanding and bringing the point through to a solution for both parties, and thus a change that could be lived from now on.
But, the point of self-trust and inner guidance came in the moment before I opened up the communication. I had a lot of resistances due to fears that the situation would play out in the same way it had in the past. I feared that I would be sucked into reactions and lose control over myself within the communication and just make matters worse. I also feared confrontation.
I had to look at the situation and see that: clearly something needed to be said and done. This supported me to walk the path of moving forward and speak. I also had to trust myself that it was the right decision, and that I would in fact be able to manage myself within the communication. And with this self-trust and inner-guidance/inner-knowing, I was able to move forward. This is how I guided myself, and this is how I created guidance for myself.
In looking at how I have lived the word in the past that I am satisfied with, I can now establish a redefinition that I can fully integrate ad live. First, within and through sounding the word. In sounding the word I hear 'guy' 'dance'.
Within this, I see a solution having to do with masculine and feminine archetypes, where the female is more the emotional/creative, and the male being more structured/stable. This assists and supports me to remember that I embody both of these qualities, wherein, when I process the point within myself, I bring forth the feminine strengths of bringing forth my emotions to be able see them clearly, and then using my creativity to find solutions, methods and ways to move forward. Then, when it comes time to actually live out these inner solutions and insights, I bring forth the male elements of structure within structuring the information I am now presenting, and bringing forth the stability as I speak and present my words.
This accounts for the sound of 'guy' in the word 'guidance.'
For the sound 'dance', I have seen this already before in words like 'confidence', where it serves the same function for me, where the word 'dance' symbolizes and represents the dance that takes place within any interaction or communication with another, especially when one is doing so within a point of self-awareness, placing a guard over one's mouth, knowing when to push and when to hold back. This is the dance of human interaction. And then there is the dance that takes place within navigating the ups and down, twists and turns, triumphs and obstacles along the path in one's life.
So, when and as I see that I am feeling directionless, without a path and in need of guidance, I stop, and I breathe. I bring myself back to inner-guidance and self-trust by reminding myself of my feminine qualities of bringing forth emotions to investigate, and the creativity to find solutions, as well as my masculine qualities of structuring my communication and plans, within and as my stability.
