A while back we created a kitty-litter cake for a boy scouts' fundraiser. I am pretty sure we spent more to make the cake than its eventual auctioned price at the fundraiser, but our creation engendered lots of laughter and memories.
First, we made the batter:
Then we started stirring:
Then we got tired of stirring and got out the labor-saving devices:
Then we poured the batter into the pan:
Then things got a bit messy. This is my son's head:
Then my goofy husband posed for a picture while placing the tray into the oven:
We also baked vanilla cake for this recipe:
Then we mixed the two different cakes together:
We added some crystals:
And then, after adding warmed tootsie rolls . . . voila!
Boys are gross. They added a few final touches:
