Housing Project

Happy Monday stemians,

Lets start the week by more inspiring outputs and activities. Just thinking to initiate the week by producing an environmental piece writing on land occupancy by enlarging the housing project. I would like to share the impressive impacts on how housing need eliminate the availability of [green] land. I will share a real example of how the quickest land expansion by housing project. This booming has been a real treat toward the availability of land [green and empty] for long term. It i true that the need of housing should be a concern but it is also very important to think wisely of the sustainability of land procurement for environmental purposes. By changing land into housing, one devastated impact on farmers [paddy farmers]. They are not going to be able to keep planting paddy since their land has been switched into housing establishment. It is a fact that more and more people demand the housing to occupy newly couples for instance. However, the government needs to think the management on the issue. For some coming years, we may not be able to see the green paddy field except the the roof of houses.

It is the reality but it should be good and wise solutions of the need [development]. In contrast, there are many benefits of having empty and green land. They might be:

1. Water reservoir,
2. Fresh air availability,
3. Habitats living,
4. Environmentally protect the surrounding,
5. etc

It is afraid that this green area [land] may not be able to be seen in 5 to 10 years later. The fantastic construction of housing [a real threat] may damage [consume] all empty and fresh land. Without any clear policy of the government, the farmers are left behind and being the witnesses of their land occupancy [being occupied] by capital owners.

The birds may not be able to fly or stay since the trees are going to be cut down. This is another real possibility by changing land into housing complex. Green trees as the fresh air source may not be available except concrete walls of houses or fences.

Birds may not have branches to stand except on the roofs of the houses...

Well, lets think of changing paddy fields [green land] into housing construction. Otherwise, future generations are not able to see paddy or green area.
