There Will Be Less People AND! There Will Be Less People
People are still talking as if their house is an asset.
People are still talking like real estate is an asset.
People are still talking about investing in real estate.
People are still saying things like "house prices only go up.
And i can sorta comprehend them. We have been waiting a long time for property prices to correct.
"If it hasn't happened by now, it will never happen," is what people keep parroting.
However, i have been watching the real estate market crash for over a year, and all that people respond with is, "house prices haven't come down, so its not crashing."
Well, people are very slow to catch on, and they are VERY reluctant to lower the sale price on their house. Even if they see that its not selling and no buyers are looking into it.
It's worse than that
Imagine if Amazon was the only "store" in your city.
(If things keep going as they are in cities, this is almost inevitable.)
What is the use of living in a city?
What if all the corporations abandoned their buildings, and just went completely on-line/work-at-home.
Is there a reason to live in a big, dirty city?
If it costs more in gas to drive to your job, then your job pays you.
Is there a reason to sit in a parking lot they call a freeway?
Malls are shutting down. Chain stores are closing.
Mom & Pop stores have been decimated.
I was just kidding about Amazon being the last store. Amazon will stop delivering before then. Unless they work out armored drone package delivery.
What will be left is concrete block bunkers, with a bullet proof kiosk and a stainless steel one way door to push out your purchases through.
Only after a civil war and a purging will the city have a chance to recover.
However, before those, anyone with means, will have left the cities.
And, after the productive half of society has left, will anyone choose to go back to the cities and rebuild?
Demographics is king
The price of a house is only high when you have more buyers than there are houses to be sold.
Think of the situation when there is only one buyer, and there are two EMPTY houses. What is the price of the houses? Well, one is going to stay empty forever, so how low will you go with your price to sell your house?
And, i really mean FOREVER.
Think about the baby boomers. They own 25% of the houses. As they move into retirement homes or mortuary plots, who will buy those houses? One quarter of the houses are going to be dumped on the market. And, since we are talking about the boomers, they will hold out for someone to pay top dollar. Their inheriting children will dump them as fast as possible, because they will be EXPENSIVE to keep, and the Infernal Revolting Syndicate will want their share.
But, it really doesn't matter. There will be more homes that people looking for homes.
And when that happens, those who do not care about the law, will be moving into free houses (squatting)
When demographics drops below replacement, there will be empty houses. And these houses will stay empty until they are bulldozed. Look into Chicago/Detroit suburbs.
But, it is worse than that
We aren't just looking at the baby boomers leaving a hole in society, we have other giant issues.
unCivil Wars take lives. And there are two groups of people who will not agree on things. (one side wants to kill children with impunity, and one side wants children to live) When the bullets start flying, even if they are aimed at the wrong people. Even if the people responsible are at home in their bunkers. A lot of people will die. Every one will mean an empty house.
The immigrants have overstayed their welcome. They will be making a run for the border. They are already self-deporting. And soon, there will be something that triggers people. Something real bad, and people will no longer tolerate the immigrants. And they will leave, on their own two feet, or in a body bag. They were all staying somewhere. There will be a lot of empty "somewheres"
Famine is coming. Soon there will be people deciding, rent or food. And there is no good answer. In the terms of housing and house prices, they will drop past zero.
The VAXXXed are dying. It is starting to show up in numbers that can no longer be hidden. Turbo cancers everywhere. People walking around like they have extremely low blood pressure, collapsing (most likely due to clogged arteries. See morticians discussing fibrous, stretchy cords found filling veins.) There will be many empty houses, well, empty except for a corpse sitting in front of a TV.
The chances of housing going up in price from here is almost nil. Even with extreme money printing and hyper-inflation, the house prices are still going to go down.
The only real estate that will go up in value, and maybe up in price, are places that will make a great homestead.
Entire housing tracts will be empty. Commercial real estate will have for lease signs on 3 out of 4 buildings. Cities will not be able to keep up with cremating bodies.
I really mean it when i say that suburban housing prices will drop below zero.
There is nothing coming to rescue these prices.
There will be less people than houses.
And no people left in cities will respect property rights.
We are witnessing the beginning of the end in for real estate.
