With the price of steem rising past $2, and making it to the top 10 on coinmarketcap, I noticed that it was actually possible to mine STEEM.
That is, unless I am misunderstanding something here. The STEEM platform has interested me from the very first moment, and for some of us that are not as financially capable to invest into it at the moment, what is mining steem all about?
There is the link in the docs, here which explains setting up a network and building steem is this all it takes? compile the miner, connect to a network after creating a test network, and begin mining? Is this a cpu-only process? I am very curious as STEEM gains interest for many besides myself!
For clarification: Does anybody know if these methods are still possible? Also, I have just noticed a minute ago, Waves overtook STEEM for the top 10 spot, let's get STEEM back in there!!
