Good Luck New Year's Dinner 2018

In the southern United States, many people believe that if one eats black eyed peas on New Year's Day that they will have a prosperous year. It is also believed that one will have a great year financially if they eat collard greens because the green color of the collards is representative of money. Most often, both of the aforementoned dishes are seasoned or served with pork which symbolizes wealth and prosperity.
