Countless articles recommend exercising in the morning. Right when you wake up. But I disagree with this completely.
I Tried It
For A while I had a sleep schedule where I would wake up early and immediately go for a run.
I noticed something odd... Instead of being full of energy like these articles claimed. I felt exhausted and tired; I was to the point I didn't even want to get work done. Sometimes I even felt like just going to bed.
It's odd how all these books recommend exercise when you first wake up, but it had that strange effect on me.
Usually, when I workout later in the day, I get this uppity, Hyper effect that helps me blast through the rest of my day. But not morning exercise.
The First Hours Of Your day Are The Most Important.
Did you know that the first 3 hours of you waking up can be your most productive?
This is why a lot of entrepreneurs guard those hours like no other!
Your brain is its peak performance, And you can use that to get some serious work done. I often use this time to crank out Steemit posts.
While exercise is so good for the body, You may be giving up the precious hours of time where you are mentally at peak performance.
I found this to be true; I couldn't focus as much on my run.
Everyone is different
If morning exercise works for you, Then do it! But it's something you should test out for yourself. What works for you, may not work for everyone. And that's okay.
