I am absolutely delighted today because I received a wonderful commission to make outfits for baby girls; projects like this always motivate me and bring out my most creative side.
The chosen design was very delicate, featuring details that reflect both the age of the wearer and a feminine essence.

El dia de hoy me encuentro super contenta, pues me llego un lindo encargo de confecciones para bebitas, este tipo de trabajos siempre me motivan y sacan mi version mas creativa.
El diseño seleccionado era bien delicado y la moda, siempre dejando detalles que caractericen la edad y la esencia femenina.

The fabric wasn't one of my favorites, but I always see potential in any opportunity. I had considered a pleated schoolgirl-style skirt, but the way the fabric was shaped at the front didn't allow me to make the most of the material. In the end, I settled on a second option: creating a skirt with an overlay that formed a pointed shape at both the front and the back.
La tela era una de mis favoritas, aunque no sabía si encajaría con el modelo seleccionado, modificando un poco su estructura y añadiéndole otro tejido que no fuese estampado, pero que combinara con las rosas rosadas de la tela estampada.
Logrando al final un perfecto equilibrio y un diseño unico y original.

Procedure:
1st step:
To create this lovely design, I started by cutting out the necessary pieces—specifically, the front and back sections shaped like bloomers, but much larger and wider than standard ones. Next, I prepared two strips of equal size for the two-tone skirt and the lace trim.
Once the pieces were cut, I began assembling the bloomers by joining the sides with two small pink strips, ensuring a perfect match with the floral print.
Procedimiento
1er paso:
Para este diseño comence cortando las piezas que necesitaba para crear este bello diseño. Obteniendo delantero y trasero, con forma de blumer, siendo mucho mas grande y ancho a uno normal. Seguido de dos listones con la misma medida para hacer la falda bicolor y los encajes.
Una vez recortados, procedo a iniciar el diseño del blumer, uniendo por los laterales al mismo, con dos pequeños listones rosados, haciendo que encaje a la perfección con el estampado floreado.
2nd step:
For the little skirt, I attached the lace trim before joining the two skirt sections—placing it right along the bottom edge of each piece, first on the pink panels and then on the printed ones. I started on the wrong side, then turned it over to continue on the right side, ensuring the seam allowances remained hidden.
2do paso:
Para la faldita procedi a colocar los encajes antes de unir los dos colores de la falda, justo en el borde de abajo de cada pieza,, primero en los listones rosados y luego en los estampados. Iniciando por el reves, para luego voltearlo y seguir por el derecho. Quedando los margenes de costura ocultos.
Step 3:
Once the lace was in place, I joined the two pieces at the sides using a French seam—since the electricity supply is quite unstable, making it difficult to finish the garment using an electric machine.
Using pins, I attached the skirt to the bloomers, working from the inside out so that the seam allowances would end up on the interior when turned right-side out, making the garment more durable.
I sewed a long straight stitch all the way around the waist, 2 cm from the edge; this would serve as a channel for the elastic.
3er paso:
Ya colocado cada encaje uni ambas piezas por los laterales con una costura francesa, pues el fluido eléctrico es bien inestable, y se dificulta darle los acabados en la eléctrica.
Con ayuda de alfileres sujete la falda al blumer, de adentro hacia afuera, para que al voltearlo quedaran los márgenes por dentro, y la prenda tambien estuviese mas resistente.
Por todo el contorno de la cintura hice una puntada recta y larga a 2cm de margen del mismo borde, este seria tomado como puente para el elastico.
4th step:
Finally, I sewed a very narrow hem around the leg openings, then folded it over again and stitched it down; this resulted in a cleaner finish without creating bulky areas in the fabric. I also inserted a thin elastic band into both leg openings—right where the little feet come out—adding a touch that is sweet, unique, and stylish.
4to paso:
Por ultimo hice un pequeño dobladillo por todo el contorno de la parte de las pierna, bien finito, para volver a virarlo y pasar de nuevo una costura. Quedando asi una puntada mas limpia sin abultar el tejido en algunas areas.
En ambos orificios del blumer, justo donde salen los piecitos coloque un elastico finito, dandole un toque tierno, único y a la moda.
