Although we are getting into the autumn season, here in Athens, Greece we are still enjoying lovely sunny days that are perfect for enjoying a week-end poolside brunch with friends.
Traditionally, my swimming buddies and I celebrate the beginning and the end of the season with a light meal or drinks and this time around, yesterday we gathered for a poolside brunch where we all ordered a few choices from the Hilton Oasis Restaurant pool breakfast menu that included the delicious savory waffles seen in the photo (above).
The poached eggs were fresh and really tasty . . . even if overcooked . . . as you can see on the photo below!
The other dish we all agreed was tops . . . included the fried eggs served with yummy sausages and crispy bacon that was cooked just the way we asked for . . . nearly burnt!
It goes without saying that before devouring all this food we all had done at least half an hour or more of swimming . . . and even so I don't think any us managed to eat more food throughout the day!
Most importantly, we had a great time and we are already looking forward to our next get-together by the pool . . . in May 2019!!!
