Music Monday | Playing classic videogames on the piano (maybe one day)
I've never been the biggest gamer in my life actually although I have had my fair share of staring at screens in the abyss to complete the level over and over. Hearing the same tune over and over, trying again over and over.

At a certain point it feels like these videogame songs had settled into my brain, and every now and then the come popping up again. Lets tune in what was locked far far away, and take it out.
And maybe you will recognize some of them and realized how brainwashed we all were as kids. Was it a bad thing and did it make us terrible humans? Nehh, actually it didn't. It was all good just for a rainy day.
Take a nice walk through the original and the tutorials I would want to watch back if I ever would decide to play these on the piano just for the fun of it.
The Super Mario Theme song
I think literally everyone knows and recognizes this song as the one that is together with Mario. The funny thing is that this is actually not the song that I associate the most with the game, because this wasn't from the edition which I played most. Karin was a game boy girl, and from the later editions.
But it doesnt really matter, this one is the classic and the world world knows what that it.
Looking at learning how to play the song itself, and looking at this video....This should seem doable actually. Left hand playing some easy notes as bass tunes and right hands playing the theme melody. Gonna take a try on this one
Okay this guy does take it in a bit better, making it the real classic, that seems like 10 bridges too high for me, but does show us how cool the song actually is.
Back to the video game...
What about the Underground song? That one we also all know?
Okay this one really looks doable to play right there, just get a bit of the speed cracking and this one should be a fun one to throw around every now and then.
When you want the hands a bit bigger, then this is the next step
Zelda
I have spent hours and hours working Zelda on the gamebay (okay maybe even an edition earlier on the CDI player, and then this game was way too hard for me. But at a certain point the gameboy was there and I was hooked.
Zelda: Links awakening was my poison so I do have some other songs in my head immediately as well, but the main song of zelda...Yeah you know it.
This is it, nice and digital and for the rest of the day stuck in your brain forever.
Now putting this into the form where you would want to play it yourself on the piano, in learning phases.
Love this one here for the simplicity, and it feels that this one should be able to do for me with some practise. Im just not that good with these kinds of screens, but getting some sheet music in there and we will be fine.
Fun to play as well!
Going to a bit more intermediate:
This also seems like a reasonable step to play elelements from in there. Nice for in the sping actually. OKay the later later in there is way heavier and more challenging, but especially the start...on the list!
Long intro right there, but woww......This sounds like a slam dunk by a total orchestra, haha. Make it bigger! Not for me like ever hahah.
Well that is it guys. I will this post as a tutorial for myself to find back the song how I will be wanting to learn them. Good material for the rainy day!
