Take a random weekday at around 8.30 AM in a random supermarket somewhere in Holland. It is still early and people are looking for some daily groceries after their morning coffee. A girl looking like she hasn't slept all night is standing there in front of the beer section looking for some finest IPA. What would your general opinion about this person be if you are truly honest?
'Wow, see how low people have sunken in these times of recession'
'It is even before noon, what is this person thinking?'
'Good going, this one knows how to have fun!'
Or is the reality just entirely different?
What would you say when I told you that some people have just very different schedules than other people have. And that 8.30 was maybe after a working day, because some work in the grind shifts during the night. And what would you say that when you talk about a random weekday, that this maybe is the weekend for that person. But that her schedule is just entirely different from yours, and maybe her friends have the same kind of different schedule.
Would you still judging so hard? Or would you call this a logical thing. Well I know that right there in that supermarket, the optical judgement was surely there and people were actually trying to look away to avoid eye contact, which is quite funny.
It isn't written on the forehead that I had just finished working in surgery, taking care of other people lives...
So my friend passed by who I hadn't seen for a while and we had some cathcing up to do. I am a real sucker for good labels on beer and a big fan of IPA so a got a whole street of those to share and just experiment on the flavors.
I went for only beers from the brand of Alefarm which is a brand from Denmark and Prizm who are from France. No local beers this this, just a sucker falling for the coolness of the labels and giving the visuals the attention which day deserve.
What I am trying to say here that I am telling you that you should not judge the book by the cover, while in the beers I am doing the exact same thing. I got these badboys entirely on appearance without thinking anything on the background or seeing what their story is.
The mind doesnt work consistent at all. But I know catching up with my friend on a random weekday was just fun and felt like the weekend. In the end it is about what your mind wants you to do right?
Happy weekend guys!
