How are you all doing? We’re suffocating here - whether from the heat or the storms - the weather is getting more and more extreme, and as for the crypto market, there doesn’t seem to be any progress or change anywhere. Everything is still in free fall. Since I’m no expert on this (I have no idea what's going on), I’d rather not think about it...
But I’m always up for a cold beer, especially for #beersaturday.
For a few days now, I’ve had two similar beers chilling in the fridge - one Slovenian and one Croatian. I was out and about all day, and now that I’m finally home, I’m going to treat myself to them and happily share the experience with you.

What do the Master Brewers say?
Brewers always have a beer in their lineup that serves as their flagship beer. For us, that’s the 3rd Pill. We’ve been perfecting it for a full decade. It’s brewed with four different barley malts and four different hops. This combination of ingredients gives The 3rd Pill just the right full-bodied character, perfectly balanced by just the right amount of bitterness. It’s a balance of four elements—alcohol, acidity, sweetness, and bitterness.

Pelicon rarely disappoints, and I believe it won’t this time either.
The beer has a cloudy yellow color and an average head. The hop aroma is quite pronounced. It goes down smoothly, with the classic IPA bitterness in the mouth, featuring citrus notes - mostly lemon and grapefruit. The finish is dry, and the bitterness lingers for a while.
A drinkable and refreshing beer!
An old-school IPA - let’s say it’s similar to Sierra Nevada - but not as juicy and tropical as modern hazy IPAs. Well-balanced and, I’d say, a timeless favorite for all IPA lovers. It’s been brewed for over ten years and is among the best-selling craft beers in Slovenia. Locally, it’s available in almost all retail chains, with prices ranging from €1.70 to €2.40.

Another chilled IPA - this one from Croatia - is waiting for me!
Brewed by The Garden Brewery, Zagreb, Croatia.
Can, 0.33 l, alcohol 6.0 ABV, IBU 40. West Coast IPA-style beer.
What do the Master Brewers say?
Hops inspired by the American West Coast with a yeast from the East. This is our take on a classic. Pours golden in colour, with a slight haze and a lingering tight, white head. Dry hopped 3 times with a mix of American, Australian and German hops; On the, aroma you are greeted straight away with notes of pine, peach and passionfruit. On the palate, apricot and navel orange shine through, with a well-balanced bitterness backed by a subtle sweetness from the South Pacific hops and the unique yeast we use.
I’m familiar with this brewery as well; their beers are very good.
The beer is a light amber color, with a generous, persistent head and a scent of tropical fruits. It goes down smoothly; on the palate, I detect the bitterness of hops, passion fruit, and peach, as well as hints of caramel and pine. The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for a while.
A delicious and juicy beer!
West Coast IPA, similar to the previous one but softer and fruitier, with a hint of the forest. “Shuma” means “forest” in English. A forest IPA :)
Very good, well-balanced, with fruity and forest-like flavors; in Croatia, it’s considered one of the best craft beers. It’s available in all Croatian retail chains, including locally at Spar and Mercator supermarkets, priced between €1.50 and €2.30.
Both beers are very good, and I recommend them to IPA lovers if you can find them anywhere.

And what am I listening to while I’m writing this and tasting the beers? Nothing from #newtunes, because I haven’t posted any yet :)
I did come across the official Susie Q visualizer. Great!
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Susie Q(Official Visualizer).
Thank you for your attention.
