ENG/ESP Amigurumi with casual clothes. / Amigurumi con ropa casual.

Blessed Needlework Monday. I've been busy for a few days now on this cute project. I wanted to make an amigurumi with nice clothes, something casual. A jogger style pants, a jacket and turtleneck sweater, would be a nice and comfortable outfit if it was to wear it on a day out, or on a cold day, but where you need to be comfortable and presentable.

Bendecido lunes de agujas. Hace unos días que estoy ocupada en este bonito proyecto. Quería hacer una amigurumi con una ropa bonita, algo casual. Un pantalón estilo jogger, una chaqueta y jersey con cuello tortuga, sería un atuendo bonito y cómodo si fuera para usarlo en un día de paseo, o en un día frío, pero dónde se necesita estar cómodo y presentable.

Making this type of clothing should not be very different from full-scale clothing. What varies is precisely the size and the amount of work and material. Several things, right; but the procedure has to be the same. The other thing that also changes, is the way to place the clothes, because in the case of amigurumi we can introduce the pants, for example and give a few stitches to adjust the waist.

Hacer este tipo de ropa no debe ser muy diferente respecto a la ropa en escala real. Lo que varía es precisamente el tamaño y la cantidad de trabajo y material. Varias cosas, ¿verdad?; pero el procedimiento ha de ser el mismo. La otra cosa que también cambia, es la forma de colocar la ropa, ya que en el caso de los amigurumi podemos introducir el pantalón, por ejemplo y dar unas puntadas para ajustar la cintura.

In the scale clothes we must place garters or buttons to put on and take off the piece. This is something that is well known. But I'm analyzing how accessible it is for me to create a more complex piece, since so far I've only made sweaters.

En la ropa a escala debemos colocar ligas o botones para colocarse y quitarse la pieza. Esto es algo que es bien sabido. Pero estoy analizando qué tan accesible es para mí crear una pieza un poco más compleja, ya que hasta ahora solo he realizado suéteres.

I made two rectangles for the jogger. The same size. Then I pinned where the seams would go and assembled the pants. As I mentioned, I stitched a few stitches at the waistband and hems to adjust it. In the case of pants, I would have to make a waistband and hems to insert garters.

Realicé dos rectángulos para el jogger. Del mismo tamaño. Luego sujeté con alfileres por donde irían las costuras y arme el pantalón. Cómo lo mencioné, le di unas puntadas en la cintura y en los ruedos para ajustarlo. En caso de un pantalón tendría que hacer una pretina y ruedos para introducir ligas.

The collar of the sweater is a false collar. It is a piece knitted in stretch stitch and sewn directly on the neck of the amigurumi. The sweater is not a piece that can be taken off and put on, it is part of the amigurumi's body.

El cuello del jersey es un cuello falso. Es una pieza tejida en punto elástico y cosida directamente sobre el cuello del amigurumi. Lo mismo el jersey, no es un pieza que se pueda quitar y poner, sino que es parte del cuerpo del amigurumi.

The jacket has 5 pieces. The back, the front which is separated in two and the two sleeves. All knitted symmetrically and each piece is sewn together to assemble the jacket.

La chaqueta tiene 5 piezas. La espalda, la parte frontal que está separada en dos y las dos mangas. Todo tejido en forma simétrica y cada pieza se cose para ensamblar la chaqueta.

Working in rectangle is a way that I find quite practical and it is very appropriate to make loose fitting pieces. I think that after this I am going to take the risk of making something for my little girl. Maybe a shorts or a one-piece. I'm thinking of a crochet one-piece with a printed fabric from an old dress I don't wear anymore. It's actually a bit tight and I could give it a new use. Trabajar en rectángulo es una forma que me resulta bastante práctica y es muy apropiada para realizar piezas holgadas. Creo que después de esto me voy a arriesgar a realizar algo para mí niña. Quizás un shorts o un enterizo. Estoy pensando en un enterizo combinando crochet y una tela estampada de un viejo vestido que ya no uso. En realidad me queda un poco ajustado y podría darle un nuevo uso. Esto es todo por hoy, deseo que tengan una bendecida semana.
