I have been busy with document work while doing my house job and it has not been easy.
The house job in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Federal Medical College, PIMS Islamabad started on 06-05-27 and will go until 20-09-26.The clinical work alone is enough.Rounds, emergencies, deliveries, and learning on the floor every single day.
Then there is the other side of it.The paperwork.
Forms that need to be filled during duty hours.Logbooks that need signatures.Clearances from offices that close early.Attested copies.Deadlines that pop up without warning.I was running from the ward to the admin block and back again, often in the same scrubs, often running late for both.
There were days I got very little sleep. There were nights I was finishing a document at 2am after a long shift. There were moments I thought I would not make the deadline because a patient needed me first.
But I did not quit. One form at a time. One signature at a time.I asked,I followed up, I waited in lines and I made sure nothing was left incomplete.
And it worked. It was successful. The documents are submitted. The requirements are met.
I earned this. Not just the appointment but the ability to manage both patients and paperwork at the same time.
Obstetrics and Gynaecology teaches you fast.It teaches you to stay calm when things are heavy.Adding document work on top of that just made me more organized and more patient.
I am grateful to the seniors and colleagues who helped me and covered for me when I had to step out.
The busy days are not over. The house job is still going. LThere will be more paperwork later.
But for now, this part is done. And I can say it honestly I earned it the hardway.
