It’s time to go back to monochrome or graphite drawing. I like graphite because I can create very varied tones with pencils of different hardness and thus perceive spatiality. My hands, elbows, and often my face will also be smeared with graphite, so it’s worth looking into the mirror sometimes before I go down to the grocery during the day.
I really like this picture of me because I give myself completely. Embrace your roots - this is the title of the image and is to be understood symbolically. The roots are our ancestors, without whom we would not be where we are now. Therefore, we must not forget them because we are really the same with them, only in different bodies.
