Since after the Covid era, there have been a great deal of migration from Nigeria to other parts of the world in search of a better life. Many had to leave their loved ones behind. Some ended up being successful while others entered a "fry pan to fire" kind of situation.

A few years back, I've had to say goodbye to friends and family who relocated in search of a good life. I don't blame them because Nigeria economy situation is in the mud.... it's so bad.

The unemployment rate is so high that it has led to robberies in daylight. There's a high cost of living with very low income to meet up with the never-ending bills. I'm sure anyone wouldn't just wake up and decide to leave behind their comfort zone, family and friends. They would have weighed the options before making up their mind and taking that bold step with doubts because they don't even know what they might face in an unknown or unfamiliar country.

What baffles me is that I see a lot of wealthy people who own houses, work in top companies where they are paid very high checks, some even in dollars and yet choose to make this move. Are they also in search for a greener paster?

If they have all it takes to have a good life, why the need to still relocate? Is there something else they seek that is not obtainable here in my country?

A lot of thoughts keep flooding my mind, especially since yesterday after a close family friend of mine told me about their relocation plan. I'm gonna say goodbye soon to another beautiful friendship. I've not been myself since I got the news but it also struck me to the point where I started thinking and weighing options too.

Have you been in this situation before? Please I would like to read your experiences.

Thanks for stopping by.....
