For my makeup project this week I decided to put a complicated challenge to myself, I thought that if there was an opportunity to challenge me was this week, and is to try to make a painting that I could do on a canvas, but this time changing the liquid and pigmented products by other thicker, dry and less pigmented as are the shadows and concealers. Even though it has many flaws, I'm happy because at least I was able to take it to the end. I hope you like it!
Para mi proyecto de maquillaje de esta semana decidí ponerme un reto complicado a mi misma, pensé en que si existía una oportunidad de retarme era esta semana, y es tratar de hacer una pintura que podría hacer en un lienzo, pero esta vez cambiando los productos líquidos y pigmentados por otros más espesos, secos y menos pigmentados como lo son las sombras y correctores. A pesar de que tiene bastantes fallas, estoy contenta porque al menos lo pude llevar hasta el final. Espero les guste!
For my participation this week I decided to choose the creation of Adam made by Michelangelo in the year 1511 in the Sistine Chapel of the Vatican. The reason I chose this work is because Michelangelo is my favorite painter and sculptor of all time. Renaissance art is fantastic, because it not only changed the form of art, but also the way of understanding human anatomy, and Michelangelo played a fundamental role in all this development.
Para mí participación esta semana decidí escoger la creación de Adán realizada por Miguel Ángel en el año 1511 en la Capilla Sixtina del Vaticano. La razón por la cual escogí esta obra es porque Miguel Ángel es mi pintor y escultor favorito de todos los tiempos. El arte renacentista es fantástico, porque no solo cambió la forma del arte, sino también la forma de comprensión de la anatomía humana y Miguel Ángel cumplió un papel fundamental dentro de todo este desarrollo.
About the Creation of Adam/Acerca de la Creación de Adán
This work is inspired by the moment when God creates humanity through Adam. On the left side of the screen we see Adam and the right side of God surrounded by cherubs and a woman under his arm who has not yet come down to heaven and we understand that she is Eve.
Esta obra se realiza inspirada en el momento en el que Dios crea la humanidad mediante Adán, en el lado izquierdo de la pantalla se ve a Adán y al derecho Dios rodeado de querubines y de una mujer debajo de su brazo que aún no baja al cielo y entendemos que es Eva.
PROCESS/PROCESO
1.- For this step I made a hand sketch on a reclining sheet of Adam and God's hands in the approximate size I wanted for my face.
1.- Para este paso hice un boceto a mano en hoja de reciclaje de las manos de Adán y Dios en el aproximado de tamaño que quería para mi cara..
2.- I cut out the drawn pieces.

2.- Recorté las piezas dibujadas..
3.- I put the pieces on my face and with the help of a white tempera and a brush, I painted around the drawing so that the silhouettes would remain.
3.- Puse las piezas en mi cara y con ayuda de una tempera blanca y un pincel, pinte alrededor del dibujo para que quedaran las siluetas.
4.- With a brush and black paint I outlined the shapes in more detail..
4.- Con un pincel y pintura negra delinee las formas con más detalle.
5.- With concealer and cream bronzer I began to add the shadows and lights of Adam's hand. I also removed some of the residue from the initial tempera with a swab of water
.
5.- Con corrector y bronzer en crema empecé a agregar las sombras y luces de la mano de Adán. También eliminé parte de los residuos de la tempera inicial con un hisopo con agua.
6.- With the same bronzer I give more dimension..
6.- Con el mismo bronzer doy más dimensión..
7.-I delineate the hand of God with black paint.
7.- Delineo la mano de Dios con pintura negra.
8.- With concealer and cream bronzer I add the shadows and lights of the hand of God and I remove the part of the tempera with a swab and water.
8.- Con corrector y bronzer en crema agregó las sombras y luces de la mano de Dios y elimino la parte de la tempera con un hisopo y agua.
9.- I add base, and seal the drawings with shadows of the same color.
9.- Agrego base, y sello los dibujos con sombras del mismo color.
10.- I seal the base with powder.
10.- Sello la base con polvo.
