EL VENTARRÓN
Autoría de José Pulido/13 de agosto de 2026
Una linda señorita
ha pasado por mi casa
y con sus largas pestañas
dirigía la comparsa
Más atrás venía otra
con unas uñas muy largas
que parecía un rastrillo
como palmera en la playa.
De pronto una ventolera
rugía como un león
y aquél largo pestañón
rodó por la carretera.
Las largas uñas volaron
se las llevó el remolino
y dicen que su destino
fue que nunca se juntaron.
Las pestañas la encontraron
en los ojos de un caimán
y hasta esas largas uñas
las luce el arangután.
Una planchada peluca
la lucía el araguato
como era de un color negro
pegaba con sus zapatos.
Qué tremendo bacilón
con aquella ventolera
y aquella gran multitud
pues pegaron la carrera.
THE WHIRLWIND
Author: José Pulido/August 13, 2026
A pretty young lady
passed by my house
and with her long eyelashes
she led the procession.
Further behind her came another
with very long fingernails
that looked like a rake
like a palm tree on the beach.
Suddenly a whirlwind
roared like a lion
and that long eyelash
rolled down the road.
The long fingernails flew away
the whirlwind carried them off
and they say their fate
was that they never met again.
The eyelashes were found
in the eyes of an alligator
and even those long fingernails
are worn by the howler monkey.
A flat wig
was worn by the howler monkey
and since it was black
it matched his shoes.
What a tremendous commotion
with that whirlwind
and that great crowd
for they all took to the streets.
