¡I AM A COWARD!

I am a coward, because here I do not do anything,

because I feel afraid of this situation that I should stop,

in this crisis of difficult circumstance for Venezuela,

but I show lack of courage to undertake a solution.

I do not face those who destroy us viciously,

I am a coward justified as a prudent man,

I risk very little and I hide scared, like vermin,

sad misfortune that stuns my body, soul and mind.

I am a coward, for not wanting to face the vile beast,

I omit opinions to do nothing that implies risks,

I fear doing dangerous actions of justice,

I call myself a coward, in the guise of a skewed fool.

How many Venezuelans do I harm or hurt?

With my way of being so cruelly pusillanimous,

I am unable to act with honor! To whom I lie?

Brave Heart, get out of there, talk, tell me and act.

I am a coward, I am a moron, I am a dragged one, I am an old useless

and I do not write anything against this unfortunate dictatorship,

I go undercover, fearful and lying, for not being brave or bold,

With shame I see my people die to survive with enslaving bondage.

I charge my spiritual poverty more than material,

nothing I face and I look like a puppet of this dirty government,

I have the strength of a scarecrow in ruinous mental desaire,

and stupidly I am not encouraged by the complex challenge of attacking hell.

I am a coward, because I run away from being a citizen in the act of cowardice,

I give collaboration and consent to the "vile selfishness that once again triumphed",

out of fear I save myself painful reproaches, from yoke and from idleness,

and without the glory of a brave people, I'm a fool because I'm scared as a creeping animal.

Much cowardice charge as a heavy cross, with little honesty and minimal character to the noise,

fearful I live before the sepulchral fury of this evil government, and I bow down I go,

I self-describe contemptuously for lack of value, I'm a poor fool,

I hide tearful, fearful, foolish, petty, cautious and dismayed: I am a Coward!
