On several occasions, I've published posts about the ceiba tree, that majestic and immense tree so characteristic of our tropical regions and which is very widespread in my city (Cumaná, Venezuela). We can find it along riverbanks (like our Manzanares River), as well as in plazas and parks.
With its imposing size, its prominent and sturdy roots (called tabular roots), its enormous trunks, its wide branches, and its towering canopies, it draws our attention with its natural wonder, one that, according to studies, our indigenous people recognized and honored, and whose languages the origin of its name is recorded.
In our Guaiquerí Park, bordered by the Manzanares River, there are some truly beautiful specimens. In this post, I offer you five photos of one of them.

¡Salve, ceibas! (fotos)
