Greetings, beautiful people.
A few days ago, I was talking about something quite serious. I had a pretty severe emotional meltdown. I wanted to give up on everything, but I didn't. One of the things that kept me sane was exercising.
On the other hand, it's true that I've been doing a couple of things to mitigate all of this, and these combined efforts are currently starting to show results. I always thought it was quackery when I saw a video of someone talking about how exercise changed their lives from the inside out, and I'm really starting to see it.
You see, there was one day last week when I felt good while I was on my way to workout. This was because my mind was only focused on this activity. While exercising, I started to feel good about myself. When I finished my cardio and started heading back to my apartment, I was genuinely happier. That day, I began to reflect on the change in my emotions because it had been weeks since I felt this way. I thanked myself and looked at what I had achieved. In my state of depression, I managed to continue. I found the strength to not give up and gradually witness the improvements. It may be slow now, but for me, it was a big step and a relief.
And I always knew that exercising releases endorphins, which are often called the happiness hormone. Often, exercising feels like we're suffering, but this is actually what you feel when you stick to a routine. I've now exceeded three consecutive months; I've officially made it a habit. Continuing on the topic, I've researched more about this and the stimulation that exercise causes by releasing endorphins. It also mentions that it helps prevent depressive episodes. So, with that information, it's more than clear to me that I really won't abandon this new lifestyle, as I want to keep both my mind and body in good shape.
Another thing: I've stayed focused on my goals. Amidst the sadness and everything that clouded my mind, I also began to notice the benefits of exercise. I currently have better stamina, I've gained muscle and lost fat, and I even recently noticed a significant decrease in the cellulite I had on the back of my legs. Well, it seems it's been really good.
Saludos gente bonita.
