I think the market is still too indecisive to be talking about "the next pump" but it's always never to late to consider the assets you want to hold or that might be profitable in 2028.
While the market is still relatively overlooked, a loot of fraud project builders are going to be launching scam projects when the market begins to gain momentum.
For the records, these guys do not care about you, and they're only looking for dumb money to use as exit liquidity, but if you've planned carefully then it's definitely going to be difficult to fall prey to these useless projects that'll be built when the market begins to gain momentum.
Now This doesn't mean you can make some money, you'll definitely do especially if you pay attention to where the hype is, but you're going to lose money if you don't study trends and make good decisions.
In 2024 a lot of projects were built, some of them were BTCfi projects, others were RWA and some were lending protocols that just lets you farm yield. One thing that these protocols had in common was hype, a few people I saw made hundreds of thousands of dollars with these protocols by investing money they round tripped from other projects.
However this was just the minority.
Many meme coins actually rugged a lot of people too, and the likes or $TRUMP just took out retail. In 2028 that hype will definitely return and a lot of coins will be launched as well, the most important thing is not to put money you can not afford to lose. Crypto is going to become even more brutal if you ask me.
I think it'll wreck a lot of lives and destroy people, this isn't because crypto is inherently bad it's simply because of people taking advantage of it to scam others.
I talked about being hacked in February, it was money I made from doing ads for other crypto projects, and kept that money in a DEX wallet, but we had a lot of scammers who simply had the knowledge of how smart contracts works, they know that 2024 and 2025 will be a time where people are actually making money from being involved with crypto.
Scammers are now builders
So they simply studied the weakness of smart contracts and how vulnerable the wallet is, and then got programmers to start hacking people. It was a lot of money for me, and losing it all made me realize something serious: new age crypto situation is becoming really hazardous and if you don't protect the assets or money you already have them these guys are going to take it away.
It's either they do it by promising you some unrealistic gains, or they do it by force. It's going to be like 98% fake and only 2% real. Most people crypto are just looking for the easist ways to scam others, people like SBF started this in 2022, before that, we hadn't seen the level of criminality as that in crypto, but they multiple in 2024 with the likes of hamster Kombat that promised people airdrops but used them to generate millions in dollars of YouTube revenue, we had the likes of KINTO in late 2024, and some others in early 2025.
These guys committed a lot of criminal activities in the last market run and I think we're going to have x10 of the scam we had in the last cycle and this is why you should pick a conviction and settle with them.
So what are you picking?
There are crypto projects that have been here for 4 to 5 years, the have established protocols and have been proven to make people profits, all you can do is to just make a list, do your research on them and start planning to invest when the market bottoms (hopefully late this year).
This doesn't mean you cannot try other shiny new things, my point is that you can do them with money that's disposable.
A lot of crypto projects may currently not be doing as good but they're not fake, and they've been proven to be solid.. Our very own Hive for example is still standing after these years and even though we can fix a lot of things here and there, it's still a solid project and one of the most trustworthy. You have the likes of SOL, HYPE and even BNB.
these are solid coins that guarantees you solid profits if you're buying them at the bottom or near their bottom. these are coins that are here to stay, there are a lot more too, and if you do your research you'll get them. So if had the financial capacity it'll be Hive, SOL, HYPE & BNB.
