The landlord of the house I live in gets into problems with her tenants, and it's simple because of one reason: understanding.

From my understanding of the other tenants, they're lazy and hates responsibility, but the landlord is nonchalant. She hates spending money even on things are important, but she has her good qualities too.

She expects people to make up for her nonchalance, while she pays it forwards, but these other tenants does not understand a basic ability to read her, understand her, and just find a way to relate with her.

Me, on the other hand understands what she is, what's she's capable of, and because of this, I hardly have problems with her, even though she does a lot of stuffs that she shouldn't, but having tenants (like the others) who does not understand basic human relations (they don't want to) is why the tenantship in her house has become very chaotic.

To be honest, understanding people even when they don't speak or talk is a skill everyone needs, whether they're neighbors, clients, boss, business people or whatever. Knowing people, predicting what their silence is all about, reading their facial expressions, body language and reaction wouldn't just help you to relate with them, it'll help you to thrive well as a human being.

For example when I ask for help from someone, the first or second response, followed by their reactions tells me what my next course of actions should be like.

A like of people don't know that when people feign ignorance or stay silence, it's already a huge form of communication. Silence infact is one of the most potent form of communication, when people are silent when you're expecting them to react, that silence depending on the situation couple with some form of inaudible expression already speaks a lot, but you'll have to be a thinker to connote how loud silence can actually be.

Silence Speaks a lot, we just don't listen

I'm of the opinion that communication is more than talking.

Silence, facial experience, hesitation are some of the biggest form of communication, but in a lot of human societies people rely on speech as the only form of communication to them, which is why people like that will never understand the psychology of human reasoning and communication.

One day I was greeting someone who I use to shake hands with in the past, but I notice on that particular day that there were hesitant to extend a hand, even though I already extended a handshake to them, and they only reluctantly shoved their hands forward when it began to look really awkward....

Well...... that and some other inactions and reactions, told me something: they're shifting away from the form of relationship we once had and probably didn't want that anymore. They didn't have to say it to me, it was all their in the silence, hesitance and attitude.

Don't underestimate first impressions

I've been in business relationships with people, and most times the first few interactions will tell me "ohh this will go well" or "ohh this is going to be horrible" it's just there....

I mean you don't really need people to talk, you just have to read them, try predicting them, deducing who they are" and if you're 70 to 80% right about what and what they won't do, then you've successfully understood the psychology of their being which actually gives you a reading of how to deal or relate with them.

It's deeper

In reality, everyone communicates with silence and hesitance. It's not a thing to exclude anyone, it's just an education into the deep psychology of human relations. Once you understand people on a deeper level, there's a higher Chance you'll not run into trouble, waste your time, or fail.

It's also written in excuses. When people give excuses that are not credible, don't hold enough water and doesn't make sense, they're communicating something bigger than their reactions, and you'll probably only understand if you're a deep thinker.

Anyone is an open book especially if they don't hide who they are. If it's easy to see them, read them, and they're not faking their inaudible ways of communication, even you can pretty much know who they are.

Granted, their are people who are difficult to read, and honestly, deep thinkers are example of people who are difficult to read. For example I'm one of such people who are very difficult to read, and that's because most times, I'm very introspectful.

I can be mistakenly rude or communicate in ways which can give off a horrible reading about me, then go home, think about it, and call that person to tender an apology, even though they might not even see it as anything.

I try to counter my erraticness wurt being thoughtful and introspectful, and having dealt with a lot of people in life, I come and go and disappear.

A lot of friendships I had have once disappeared based off of reactions I have perceived, and rightly so, it's important to do people's job. Instead of letting people eradicate you, do it for them, before they begin to say it.

People are what they think about, and sometimes be perceptive about people and don't be a burden to others. Human relationship as a skill will save a lot in life, and honestly if you're not a deep thinker at this point, I recommend you become one.
