You didn't, okay...
I think a lot of people are conflicted about this thing called love, and this is because it's virtually inexplicable. I have once been asked to ask an essay on the meaning of love, and at the end of the day, the only thing I could muster was "God is love, if not he wouldn't have sent his son to die for mankind" this was the only definition that made sense because, if I began to write my twisted definition, the class teacher might think I have mental issues. I won't lie that love truly exist, believe me, it does, because I couldn't explain how the existence of another person might deprive another person of the urge to eat. I've seen people commit suicide because they were jilted.
People have done unimaginable things because they think they're in love, who am I to judge? I just feel that the world is currently too colorful for one to truly define what love is. Of course, we have what a man feels for another man and what a woman feels for another woman. Sometimes we cannot begin to affiliate feelings and Sentiment because a lot of us are crazy and this craziness often defines what people call romantic love. At the end of the day, we all have different definitions. Let us face reality, 80% of us will settle for compatibility and not love and this is because we're mostly illiterate in the school of human sentiments and emotions. Heartbreak is more real than and this is because we can see it on TikTok, Facebook, and even Instagram.
People coming to cry online is something we're used to, we hear them telling stories of how they donated their kidney to the boyfriend's grandmother and how the boy still jilted them, I mean some of these things are laughable, but we manage to show online sympathy and move on with our lives. One of the best ways to avoid love stories is to be realistic. Korean drama is the biggest problem for females in Nigeria, I mean some of our girls are used to the pointed nose and pink lips of these actors, dreaming of them day in and day out, and wishing they can have these people in reality as partners. While this is not impossible, it's probably unrealistic.
I mean, while we believe anything is possible, it's also important to look at what's obtainable, not staying home wearing underwear and staring at Korean actors on a laptop screen like a sheep all day without even thinking of going to work. Another thing is to realize that one is growing older. Seriously growing older is an anti-love serum. I know a lady who always wanted a tall man, at 23, at 28 she is now even taller than her eventual fiance. When I asked what happened, she said the boys she wanted were passing her around like a piece of tasty meat, taking one small bite and handing her over to the next person.
Now this doesn't mean I'm immune, I like to stay a mystery when it comes to my romantic life and this isn't because I'm a crazy person, it's just because I want to maintain certainty before I can do or say anything. Now in my definition, romantic isn't necessarily love. I feel that when two people fulfill their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, they don't even think about love before they jump. To be honest, love to many people is attraction, when they get older it becomes providence and when they get even way older, it becomes availability. I've been told that I'm not romantic, and I think the reason is that I'm no longer tickled by things that used to fascinate me.
These days I just want to look for ways to take care of my family, grow a business, eat, watch funny videos, and sleep,
I do not have the juice for long conversations and I'm also used to the "k" conversations, I just get too bored with everything. Believe me, that wasn't who I used to be. Take note, many people are sugarcoating their intentions with love. They probably know you're attracted to them and they'll use this to their advantage. Another thing is, don't get too fascinated with the "Awwwwnnn" and "say yes" you're watching online.
Some of these things take your mind away from reality. If there's a boy or girl you're used to, you don't necessarily need to feel sausage and hotdogs before you become endeared to them. Face reality, when you do you'll realize love transcends to something entirely different when you're beginning to grow older. If you're out there seeking for a prince charming or Mother Theresa in Nikki Minaj's body, I just pity some part of your body though. 馃ぃ Anyways, don't mind my clickbait, and don't take this to heart, Just laugh, that's the only thing that would qualify this post as comedy, or else my entry might be muted for coming out as a straight post.
