Yesterday I talked about Elon musk achieving trillionare status and becoming the first person to ever do it I think we cannot dispute the fact that the man is a genius, he understands business and finance and he makes sure to not just employ the right people, but also those with his type of ideologies, those who are creative with making money in the weirdest of situations.
Those who are creative enough to turn small amounts into huge figures. He's definitely not a charitable type, he didn't build his wealth out of compassion and empathy for service.
So even though his products are good (to some extent) he makes sure to milk the living daylight of his business models that are mostly subscription based. At the moment his SpaceX company might not be a lot, but him delving into AI and other subscription-based services has showed that the man understands the concept of subscription-based business models, it's a gold mine.
One thing that's quite strange to me is that even though his products and services are not the best in the business, but he still manages to sell it. He's the package being the brand and this packaging is just how he manages to pull it off.
Selling the brand
For example, Samsung was unarguably the best brand of Android devices and they made sure to always milk this by selling the product for very expensive rates, until other brands started producing some equally great device for even cheaper.
Even if this were the case, some people are already stuck to the Samsung brand and already fallen in love with it, so even though they're exploited or charged exorbitant rates, they still won't change the brand. This is the same with the likes of GROKAI and Tesla.
I'm not saying they're not amazing products, I'm saying Elon is that businessman that depends more on branding and packaging to sell his business rather than selling it based on sheer quality.
This is probably why he bought Twitter too. He can use this as an avenue to always have the right branding and platform for his business to always remain in the limelight. Twitter (or X, as he renamed it) is a traditional social platform for earning sake.
The money that comes with years of building a presence on the platform is an added feature for only a few privileged, the man reason why I think Elon musk bought this platform is for continuous relevance, the ability to sell or bend narratives for his gains, and he understands the power of social businessing, the biggest advantage which a lot of billionaires who were previously way richer than him didn't have.
A lot of people don't understand that they can have a peek about who Elon is simply by taking a look at the people that he employes, people he fires from the business, those he hires and tnr requirements involved.
Take a lot at his head of production at X, the guy is a proper beast. A definition of someone who only understands that Elon wants to make money and sort of embodies the greedy and insatiable aspect of Elon. I've seen some of his products and services, except the spaceX and Tesla, all of them points to something: Elon Musk understands the art of milking.
"The role of LUCK"
Overall I think he's been lucky to have moved from being a millionaire in dollars to being a trillionare.
We already know what it means to be a millionaire in dollars, 0.1% of the world's population will never in the present or futuristically attain this status, and even took the risk of investing the money into other businesses.
A lot of people have gone back to ground zero for simply trying to move from five figures to 6 figures.
This isn't because they weren't Smart or didn't have the right business idea or ideology.
Elon Musk was a first mover and a lot of people may have equally been rich as him but never had the courage to do what he did, so let's not just call this complete luck, it's actually l guts and courage that placed him in the right position to become lucky.
It still remains true that people needs to strategically position themselves to be lucky, the ironic thing is that you still can position yourself properly and still be very unlucky.
I think it's an established truth that people needs to have this unrefined brutality and urgency for them to actually make money as the world mostly rewards people like this.
