I was scrolling on Hive today and came across the account of this guy who used to clown and hate on smaller accounts on Hive, how was friends with another big whale that share the same attitude as him, and he could go about dunking on others because of that whale friend he has.

Today I came across his account and saw that he was doing the exact same thing that he hated others for doing.

The other days on twitter, I saw some guy boasting that he can no longer be poor, because he has amassed enough wealth, and looking at the wealth he says he's amassed, think about 2 to 3 million dollars.

Now while this is a lot of money, and when managed well a person can truly not be poor forever, but I look at the lifestyle of this person. They're the type that gambles a lot on different investments.

They're the type that got rich down gambling heavy amount of money and got really lucky by making the right calls from their gambling (meme coin) expenditures.

I looked at this guy and he's probably around 28 or 30. I looked at his lifestyle and he's probably the type that spends a lot of money too, and I shook my head because I think money can give people the type of confidence that makes them cocky.

People don't realize when they're being cocky. They think it's how they are, or they think it's just self-esteem but the truth is, it's just the cockiness of having money.

That confidence that brings a level of boasting, and all that, and to be very honest I see that in people who suddenly became rich, and out of nowhere they started treating other people badly.

Back to the guy on Hive I was talking about.

A lot of people knows him from dunking, cursing, racially abusing, intimidating and discriminating others, and today, he doesn't have that influence, he cannot do the damage he once thought he was capable, and for one, if not that I lead a totally different life, I'd have left him a comment one days, telling him how he's completely become what he hates others for doing, especially for two reasons.

One of the reasons is that, we cannot always be in the positions we are. Life is rotary, and the second reason is that, life has a way of making people become the exact same thing they laughed at others for doing.

He's in his 40s, but somehow acted like a baby at heart in 2022 and 2023, and even though I felt someone in their 40s should have learned a lot about life, I honestly believe that experience is not an age thing.

A person can be 60, and still don't understand what it means to be humble, that is, they never learned what it means to be humble.

Too healthy to die

Some people think they're too healthy to die in their 20s or 30s, I've seen the healthiest people with the best genes, die without signs or symptoms, and I've seen sick, frail people survive for very long time.

The things we currently see or have are fleeting. However because we're mostly short sighted, it's always difficult to predict tomorrow especially when today looks either good or bad.

For example, like I said earlier. I've seen very rich people who are cocky. At some point in my life, I've been cocky too, even though it didn't have to do with money. We cannot continue to predict or assume what tomorrow will look like just by looking at today.

Although life gives us indicators and most times life works in a way where we can easily predict situations, circumstances and conditions, but honestly there are no manuals, no silver bullet, no pamphlets or guidelines to life, and that's why I treat life like everywhere is surrounded by landmines.

One sudden turn

You can make a completely misguided call by stepping into a mine, and that's your end, one single decision, one simple illness, just being unlucky, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or just life being life, then you're back to being what you've always hated, all your life.

I look at people sometimes and it's saddening because they're conditioned to think they're immune. They treat life like they own the universe, they live like can see the future, and sometimes this becomes their Achilles heel.

One thing I've learned, no one is immune from the devastating turn of events of life, and even people who once had it very bad, can taste a period of good fortune and their lives are transformed.

If you're waiting to grow old to become wiser, then I suggest you begin to study life. Life is a school you don't need degree to graduate.

Anything can happen to you at anytime, including good or bad. Treat life like a field with jackpot and landmines, because just one step can make a huge difference. If you've learned, decided today to be wiser, kinder and humbler.
