English Version
Walking the Havana streets is for me like entering a living stage, where every place has a story and every moment can be immortalized in a photo. A defined site is not necessary, it is enough to let myself be carried away by curiosity and stop in those places and moments that catch my attention. The city always offers itself ready to be observed (and photographed).
The streets in Cuba are very dynamic because also a large part of daily life takes place there. People who come and go in a continuous movement, returning from their jobs, toward their homes or going out to fulfill some task. The street vendors who go through the neighborhoods loudly proclaiming their merchandise and who mix with the. The neighbors who converse from house to house or on the balconies, sharing the latest news, favors, and stories of the neighborhood, and others, who like me, simply stop to stroll and enjoy a quiet moment. Every instant is ideal to observe and find an urban scene that deserves to be remembered.
There is also the architecture of course, with that fusion of styles so characteristic of Havana. Colonial buildings that coexist with modern constructions and that try to make their way among the old in an evident contrast, although far from being a clash, it becomes a peculiar harmony that defines the identity of the city. It is a combination that creates a unique landscape, full of textures and memories.
Havana is like that, a place where life unfolds in its streets, where the architecture tells stories and where our gaze always finds some detail that deserves to be photographed. It does not matter if it is a vendor with his cry, a child playing on the sidewalk, or a building that holds centuries of history, everything becomes part of an urban mosaic that never stops moving and transforming.
