That piece of paper will lead us into story time with Jongo!
About 4 months ago or so, my wife and I decided it was time to switch things up a bit in our lives. I was at a certain age where I felt like it was time to dive into new adventures. And it's not that I'm bored with my online businesses, far from it. I have a deeper passion for it thanks to the release of our latest project CTPX!
But there was something 'burning' inside of me...Something I always wanted to do, and told myself for years that if I wasn't building online businesses, this would be something I would love to do.
That thing was...Becoming a professional truck driver.
Weird huh?
Not if you know Jongo! You see, Jongo loves the road. My peace is literally, a coffee in hand and the open road. There is nothing I enjoy more than driving and seeing the country. I'm not stressed out about how long a trip takes, I actually want the road trips to last longer than they do lol
So just the thought of being paid for something I love as much as driving...Was just something I had to do in my life.
The opportunity presented itself and since January of this year, I've been learning how to drive tractor trailers on route to my Class 1 licence, which allows me to drive pretty much everything on North American roads.
Now here's the thing...
I'm 45. I'm not in my 20's. So changing up my career path in the middle of my life might seem a bit odd. But the beauty of everything I have built online, plus all my activities on the blockchain allow me to follow my dream of being in business for myself...PLUS, drive trucks for some very good income!
There's a saying...
You can't teach a old dog new tricks!
I don't buy it. And I'm not saying I'm old lol But I think you truly can do anything, at any age if you want something bad enough. Was it easy? Oh gosh no....I was literally back in school after about 2 decades of not being in one. So there was some serious adjustments I had to make...
Including my sleep schedule lol
But this afternoon, I went for my Class 1 exam and passed it!
So that's step 1...Now comes building a career as being a professional driver. But that image that you see here represents not only months of hard work and a realization of a life long dream....
It also represents that you CAN teach any aged dog, any trick you truly want!
That's my message tonight for you guys on the blockchain.....Follow that dream, no matter what it is!!
