Well, for me it’s where I store some nuggets I’ve learned over the years. I’ve written before about my passion for journaling, but I thought it would be a cool idea for a post tonight…To go through my entire ‘personal growth’ process through some old pics I took!
Step 1 (Photo 1) - Read something from my personal library! I love to read and have spend the better part of 20 years, building my personal library. I have a wide range of books that I enjoy reading, but I’ve narrowed it down to…
Step 2 (Photo 2) - My Top 10 Books! Now I might swap one out for Top of Mind by John Hall, but generally, these are the ones that I’ve learned the most from over the years. From Seth Godin, to Brian Tracy, John Maxwell to Robert Greene…These are my go-to books that I have found myself read multiple times over the years.
Step 3 (Photo 3) - Now comes the journaling! Over the years, I’ve written down nuggets, tips, tricks, strategies, quotes…Everything I can about the books I’ve read. And then I re-visit them over the years. I have about half a dozen journals covered with thoughts and ideas from these books and I can’t tell you the wealth of gems they contain!
Step 4 (Photo 4) - Create ideas and concepts from the things I’m learning in the books. I actually try to build entire ‘lessons’ from what I learn and then teach them to my members inside my businsesses. Heck, I even come up with a quote or two on my own in the process LOL
Step 5 (Photo 5) - Actually practice what I preach and learn! Over the years, that ‘formula’ has stood the test of time for my business…Create content on my blogs, build my mailing lists through program ownership, put in the work and finally…Show up every day.
It might not be the success everyone wants in life, but for me…It allows me to do what I love, and share my passions with as many people that put up with me lol
