I hope we are not hangry (hungry + angry), Foodieverse!
Fresh from yesterday I bring you some "juicy" goodness of this new restaurant my friends and I had discovered in our "strolling" by Crossroads Banilad, Cebu.
The name of this restaurant is Farooj Charcoal Chicken, but boy do they serve more than just chicken! We were so glad we went inside and checked out their menu. Personally I was not craving chicken since the entire week I've been eating chicken almost at every meal. Anyway.
Aside from the charcoal chicken specialty of the place, they have beef kebabs and shawarmas, which what my pals and I tried. Two of us got the beef shawarma and one got the kebab. I hoped that it would be good because it was pricey for a shawarma rice, I tell you.
When our orders were served, I had "heart-eyes" to see the there were much veggies on the order - yay!! I am a person who loves veggies so it was a treat to get a meal filled with them. There was beef, yellow rice (yuuummm), slices of cucumber, tomatoes and onions. The sauces we got were spicy garlic and Farooj special. I liked that the spicy garlic sauce had a "late spicy kick" in the mouth. The Farooj sauce was misture of spices that's a delight to the taste buds.
(Also can we all appreciate the art that's on the store's walls? It is very creative and it does brighten up the vibe of the entire place)
Overall I and my friends were satisfied with our meals, so much so that every bit of the veggies and rice and beef were gone from our plates haha. Yay! It is worth the 329 PHP per plate of the shawarma rice. I would be sure to go back and try some of the items on their menu - maybe try the chicken once I crave for chicken, who knows.
Happy eating this weekend, Hive friends! 🥢🍴🤤
