Hello and what's up, Hive friends, especially all the coffee lovers out there! ☕ As someone who loves hanging out in Cafés, I am starting a new blog series called "Cuppa Kape". It's a slang for "a cup of coffee", as "kape" is the Cebuano-Visayan term for, yep, coffee.
For the first post of this series I am taking you to one of my favorite cafés ever - Bo's Capitol. Allow me to share why this is such a special place to me. This coffee place (this Bo's store branch) was a refuge to me and my best friend during 2015 when we worked as call center agents. We would usually hang out in the place on our days off and talk for hours on end!
This is the place where we get to rant about our complaints and issues we had in our workplace. We could vent out and cry or laugh over our cups of coffees. I could say it has been a home to us both. I love that the vibe of the place (the old one) was so homey and comfy. I could still remember how we go to the place at 5 in the afternoon and go out of the coffeehouse at dawn around 3am or 4am! Recalling this makes me miss the pre-Covid days when lots of places open 24/7!
The photos in this post were taken recently and this is not how Bo's circa 2015 looked like - it's improved! The place had major store renovation sometime 2020 I think and my bestfriend and I both love the upgrade! The Café looked so distinctly Filipino now with all the designs and it's a great touch, as it's a proud Filipino coffee chain!
The incredibly strong taste and flavourful aroma of the coffees in Bo's is something I love and appreciate, truly. It's what I come back to. The coffee beans around the Philippines are surely worth the try, I tell you. Bo's Coffee would always be a Café I would recommend when foreigners (my students before) ask for a good place to get coffee.
Well what do you think of this newly renovated Bo's Coffee Capitol? Do you also like the interior of the place? Let me know! ❤️
