Who am I?
I am Joan A. Abalo, 27 years old. I currently work as a cashier at EMCOR Inc. Even though it can be a bit tiring and focused on work every day, I still enjoy because I get to meet different kinds of people.
My Hobbies and Interests
When I have my day off or if I'm just staying at home, that's when my creative side comes out. I love to bake custom cakes for my friends who are celebrating their birthdays or occasions. For me, baking is my therapy because aside from being relaxing, I feel so happy seeing others enjoy the taste of what I make. I also enjoy playing guitar when I have free time. Also, teaching is my passion. I love to teach English as second language to Young Chinese kids online.
Why did I join Hive/Ecency?
I got interested because I heard that this community offers the freedom to write, where I can able to share my experiences. I also want to learn from what other people share here—from cooking, and art, to different life stories from all over the world.
