Yes, you're thirty.
Look at all you've been.
You've fallen in and out of love.
You've been hurt and you've been held.

The babies you held are learning to drive.
You watch your sisters have children
and your friends buy houses.
Yes, you're thirty.

Yes, you're wondering, is it too late?
You're tragic, hard to please, and worth all
you ask for.
I've never doubted if you were good enough.
But I've often wondered if the world was good enough for you.
Yes, you're thirty. Yes, I'm twenty.

I loved you,
But ten years is so far to run...
