Hace algún tiempo les vengo comentando que en mi ¨ciudad¨:  se ha puesto en marcha un programa de recuperación de espacios que estén en desuso. Un encantador espacio que se ha recuperado es donde antiguamente funcionaba un ¨penal¨:  ahora convertido en un excelente espacio¨recreativo¨:  Esta belleza arquitectónica se encuentra en un hermoso ¨barrio¨:  que siempre que se presenta la oportunidad recorremos sus calles.

For some time now, I’ve been mentioning that a program to revitalize disused spaces has been launched in my city. One charming space that has been reclaimed is the site of a former prison, now transformed into an excellent recreational area. This architectural gem is located in a beautiful neighborhood whose streets we explore whenever the opportunity arises.

Aquellos que siguen mis publicaciones recordaran ¨mis¨:  ¨post¨:  ¨anteriores¨:  y aquellos que no pueden ingresar a los enlaces para estar al día con todas las presentaciones que fui haciendo sobre este hermoso espacio cultural. Lo interesante de esta recuperación es que, al momento de la restauración, se han conservado el frente original y algunos pabellones de esta belleza arquitectónica. En este post les voy a contar sobre uno de esos pabellones conservados y convertidos en un maravilloso emprendimiento ¨gastronomico¨:  que brinda varios ¨servicios¨: capases de satisfacer a los ¨paladares¨:  más exigentes.

The interesting thing about this revitalization project is that, during the restoration, the original façade and several pavilions of this architectural gem were preserved. In this post, I’m going to tell you about one of those preserved pavilions, which has been transformed into a wonderfulgastronomic  venture offering variousservices capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates .

Uno de esos pabellones muy importantes del interior del penal es donde se instaló la ¨imprenta¨-¨café¨:  en ese preciso espacio originalmente estaban alojados los presos que tenían cierta especialización y podían hacer el trabajo de imprenta; esta es la razón del nombre que adoptó este emprendimiento gastronómico en honor y en homenaje a todos esos reclusos que pasaron sus días haciendo diferentes actividades para una de las imprentas más conocidas de la provincia. Arquitectónicamente hablando, el lugar es realmente precioso; es muy emocionante estar caminando o sentarse a disfrutar una exquisitez mientras observas cerca de ti aquellas máquinas que han sido las herramientas de trabajo diario de los internos que eran parte de este pabellón.

One of the key cellblocks within the prison complex is home to the "Print Shop Café": this specific space originally housed inmates with specialized skills capable of performing printing work. The culinary venture adopted this name to honor and pay tribute to the prisoners who spent their days carrying out various tasks for one of the province's most renowned printing houses. Architecturally speaking, the venue is truly beautiful; it is a moving experience to walk around or sit and enjoy a delicious treat while observing—right beside you—the very machines that served as the daily tools for the inmates of this cellblock.

Me encanta este emprendimiento ¨comercial¨:  porque supieron valorar la historia, conservando las maquinarias para que todo aquel que visite su espacio pueda estar cerca de un trozo del patrimonio histórico de nuestra provincia. Creo que no estaría de más volver a mencionar el gran trabajo que se está haciendo al recuperar estos espacios para convertirlos en verdaderos atractivos para promocionar y dar a conocer las historias que guarda cada una de estas edificaciones de época.

I love this commercial venture because they recognized the value of history, preserving the machinery so that anyone visiting the space can get up close to a piece of our province's historical heritage. I think it is worth highlighting once again the great work being done to restore these spaces and turn them into genuine attractions that promote and share the stories held within each of these period buildings.
