Rocky Rockies
When the parks aren’t open and we can’t go to the mountains we can only dream of going for a hike. It’ll be a bit til the mountains open again - but on the bright side maybe there will be fewer crowds

My neighbourhood
Burning through my backlog of photos is fun. But I’ve also taken to creating some new projects. Our neighbourhood is full of war time cookie cutter houses. Super cute and super drafty. I like recording

Before winter comes
Just before the snow. Yellow hues and low sun. The lead up to winter can be as beautiful as it is sad. I’m not one for fall/autumn but My camera doesn’t mind it. :)

The springs of palm
I’m travelling right now through my photo feed. Missing travelling - it’s been such a big part of my life. That said, it’s amazing being able to spend more time with my family. Palm Springs is a regular

London streets
It’s no secret that London feels like home to me. I’ve always loved the vibe. Each neighborhood has its special flair - and I wish that when I was there I had taken more shots on the street. Day in the

A creative change
I know most of my pictures are aligned to center but sometimes even I like to change it up. A different perspective - maybe a little more artful. I don’t usually like to post them as art is really subjective.

At the lanes
I love the aesthetic of an old bowling alley. There’s something caught out of time about them. Like they haven’t moved on, time stood still. I always have a giggle at the people too. You can tell the serious

Just the tip
A trick to get interesting shots is to change your point of view. Of course my fave is a good center aligned horizon shot - but I can change it up! Point the camera up. Still follow the rule of thirds,

A little bit grey
The Southbank of London is one of my fave places. Home to the TATE modern museum. One of the greatest spaces in the whole world. The turbine hall is incredible. I’ve been on a giant slide in there and

Esker gallery
The Esker gallery is a free modern art space in Calgary. They bring in new exhibits all the time. Recently they had an awesome one - touchable and interactive. (Although now you might not want to touch

Day at the museum
Keeping the centre line photo thing going. I love museums. Especially when it’s quiet - but even when it isn’t all you have to do wait. Patience is sometimes the key to getting a clear shot. It’s always

Middle ground
What’s your favourite photography style? It might be overdone - but I like lining things up to a great cantering point. It can make even a mediocre photog like me,look like I sorta know what I’m doing

Missing Cali
I used to spend a lot of time in California. In fact this is the first year in 8 that I haven’t spent at least a week out of every month there, either for business or pleasure. I loved to escape our brutal

Hyde Park on a sunny day
People comment that it rains a lot in London. I’ve found that it’s mostly just grey with a bit of mist. Others find it difficult but generally I found it to be less depressing than snow... but that’s just

Night in london
Even though we’re stuck at home, it’s nice to think about the places we’ve been. We were lucky enough to have gone back to London for a short visit late last year. Since I lived there for a long time we

Contemporary Calgary
Contemporary Calgary is inside the former Centennial Planetarium - which makes it a pretty incredible space. Incredible art from local, national and international artists. Unfortunately closed due to covid,

Home for a rest
It’s been a while. Life has been busy...but thankfully kind. I’ve been keeping a side eye on all things steemit and finally got a chance to figure out what was going on....being stuck inside and all that.

Rain rain go away
I can’t stand the rain. But she loves being out no matter the weather. Forces me not to hibernate I guess.

There’s still a few oldies downtown
It’s the problem with the new west. They knock down all the old to make way for new. Hopefully we save a couple.
