I used to spend a lot of time in California. In fact this is the first year in 8 that I haven’t spent at least a week out of every month there, either for business or pleasure. I loved to escape our brutal Canadian winters – which is making this one feel extra long. It’s amazing what some golden sun and palm trees can do for the soul.
When people ask are you east or west coast – I’m firmly in the west camp. That slower pace, hippy vibe – calidreamin’ makes me happy. Not to mention the food. I mean – there’s good food everywhere, but so many of my fave places to eat are in California. North and South.
I love that 1 place can have so much variation in temperature and climate. From ocean, to desert, to mountain snow, you can pretty much have it all. Hopefully, when this whole thing is in the rear view – I’ll be heading back as soon as possible.
