Welcome to Three Tune Tuesday! A nice space in the Music community that was born from the idea of brother @ablaze, where all the participants recommend music to each other. Simple Plan is the sound of my adolescence. It's not a band I listened to for years, I literally only paid attention to their music between 2003 and 2005, from my 15 to my 17 years, but it was perfect and brought me a lot of emotions, it was a very happy pop rock that took me away from darker feelings I found in metal. The thing is that I saw a new music video a few days ago with Avril Lavigne and the flame has revived, albeit with nostalgia.

¡Bienvenidos a Three Tune Tuesday!. Un agradable espació en la comunidad Music que nació de la idea del hermano @ablaze, donde todos los participantes nos recomendamos música entre nosotros. Simple Plan es el sonido de mi adolescencia. No es una banda que haya escuchado durante años, literalmente solo presté atención a su música entre 2003 y 2005, desde mis 15 hasta mis 17 años, pero era perfecto y me trajo muchas emociones, era un pop rock muy alegre que me alejaba de sentimientos más oscuros que encontraba en el metal. El caso es que vi un nuevo video musical hace unos días junto a Avril Lavigne y la llama ha revivido, aunque con nostalgia.

1. Young & Dumb

This is Avril Lavigne's new song together with Simple Plan, wow, I watch the music video and I feel like these people have been frozen in time, more for their sound than for how they look. 20 years ago they were my life and one day out of nowhere they reappear, together in the beginning of my old age and with a very teenage musical energy 🤣 I don't deny it's weird, but it's lovely that they have the power to make me feel better and invade with a lot of nostalgia. Those of us who love this genre of music will never let it die, even if it's no longer fashionable for the common teenager of today.

Esta es la nueva canción de Avril Lavigne junto a Simple Plan, wow, veo el video musical y siento que esta gente se ha congelado en el tiempo, más por su sonido que por como se ven. Hace 20 años eran mi vida y un día de la nada reaparecen, junto en el inicio de mi vejez y con una energía musical muy adolescente 🤣 No niego que es raro, pero es encantador que tengan el poder de hacerme sentir mejor y que invada de mucha nostalgia. Quienes amamos este género musical nunca lo dejaremos morir, aunque ya no esté de moda para el adolescente común de hoy.

2. I'd Do Anything

I don't think this is their most popular song, but it was the first one I heard through Mtv and I was overcome with emotion. Quite a commercial punk sound from the early 2000's that ended up defining this sub genre of rock as my favorite, because you know I lean more towards pop. Mark Hoppus from Blink 182 did a little solo, and I always felt like it was like giving them the blessing, so if he supported them I had to give them a chance in the soundtrack of my life too. I'd Do Anything will always be my favorite.

Creo que esta no es su canción más popular, pero fue la primera que escuché a través de Mtv y me invadió de mucha emoción. Un sonido bastante punk comercial de inicio de los 2000 que terminaron definiendo este sub género del rock como mi preferido, porque ya saben que me inclino más hacia el pop. Mark Hoppus de Blink 182 hizo un pequeño solo, y siempre sentí que fue como darles la bendición, así que si él los apoyaba yo también tenía que darles una oportunidad en el soundtrack de mi vida. I'd Do Anything siempre será mi preferida.

3. Addicted

Addicted was indeed the favorite song of my friends and my enemies in high school, in fact I remember an event where everyone in the room sang it (with our bad teenage English) 🤣 Years go by, I meet my wife and I learn that she is a fan of Simple Plan and that this is one of her favorite songs in life, so I had to put it as my third recommendation today, plus it is still playing very strongly, there is music that was made to be eternal and Addicted is one of them ❤️

Addicted sí que fue la canción preferida de mis amigos y de mis enemigos en el liceo, de hecho recuerdo un evento donde todos en el salón la cantamos (con nuestro mal inglés adolescente) 🤣 Pasan los años, conozco a mi esposa y me entero que es fan de Simple Plan y que esta es una de sus canciones preferidas en la vida, así que tenía que colocarla como mi tercera recomendación de hoy, además que sigue sonando con mucha fuerza, hay música que fue hecha para ser eterna y Addicted es una de ellas ❤️

La Ñapa

This will be a very special Ñapa and different from the rest of the pop, and is that this band called New Found Glory came into my life at the same time as Simple Plan, but the truth is that I know nothing about them, I only know that the song My Friends Over You came to me and I never let it go. I wanted to mention it because I know I will never do a post about them, but this song is part of that sub genre of rock that I loved so much in those three rebellious years of my life. It's literally upbeat music even if some of the lyrics are strong, but it represents my adolescence in all its glory.

Esta será una Ñapa muy especial y distinta al resto del pop, y es que esta banda llamada New Found Glory llegó a mi vida al mismo tiempo que Simple Plan, pero la verdad es que no sé nada de ellos, solo sé que la canción My Friends Over You llegó a mí y nunca la solté. Quería mencionarla porque sé que nunca haré un post sobre ellos, pero esta canción es parte de ese sub genero del rock que tanto amé en esos tres años rebeldes de mi vida. Literalmente es música alegre aunque algunas letras sean fuertes, pero representa mi adolescencia en todo su esplendor.
